Description Scrims/Diffusions reduce and diffuse light, changing the character and quality; it breaks up light and scatters the light beam so it appears to be larger than its original source OR “softer” so that the shadows and shadow areas are less distinct or nonexistent. Mounting the scrim higher dissipates any seam shadows that may be present.
