Description What a great illusion! The 3D infinity illusion mirror effect is produced by having two sets of mirrors facing each other. The light coming from the side LEDs is then able to bounce back forth over and over again from the side of the mirrors towards the center of the mirror. Each bounce sends some light out towards the viewer such that each reflection reduces the brightness of the image and so you see the illusion fade as the energy is reduced. Teaching ideas for the infinity mirror Can you create a diagram of how the light travels between the mirrors? Learn about the difference between light reflection vs refraction.
