Description Got to love a Newton’s Cradle! A classic demonstration of equal and opposite reactions! This small desk version of a Newton’s Cradle is a homage to the great man himself. This small Newton’s cradle is part of a range of science toys, kits & teaching aids for teaching about forces & movement for schools and in the home. Use for engaging science at home or in the classroom! Teaching ideas for a Newton’s Cradle Have students use this model as a scaffold to creating a larger version! We’ve even seen Newton’s cradles that have been constructed with bowling balls (!). If you do decide to make the balls large, make sure that it has appropriate guarding such as a perspex screen to protect body parts from being pinched or hurt between the large masses swinging and hitting together. Try getting students to create a modified design, whereby balls roll along a U-shaped track.
