This is an easy way to deal with your noisy neighbor, or let yourself play ( or sing) without annoying your neighbor, but without doing messy and expensive construction.. The soundproofing wall panels will add mass to the wall and this will block more sound as if you had built a double drywall wall. The Door Sound Block Panel is made out of reinforced heavy limp mass barrier core ( MLV core) with Producer’s Choice Sound Blankets on the side facing into the room and Ballistic Nylon to face the wall. To install the Soundproofing wall panels simply install screws or hooks into the wall. If you order more than one panel we can add Velcro attachments at no additional cost, so you can seal the two or more panels together to create a complete soundblock barrier. The limp mass properties of this panel make it a great sound blocker and sound absorber in the lower frequency range. NOTICE: The panel is very heavy. Hang the wall Soundblock panel with Blanket side facing into the room. So it will also be good for sound absorption and noise reduction. Hanging the wall panel with the nylon facing inside the room will deliver the same amount of soundblocking , but it will also be more reflective than the blanket side. If you purchased the panels in the past or have seen a video or images, you probably noticed that the older panels had grommets. We recently switched to this new and better way for suspending the panels. We call it a universal suspension strip. It is superior to the grommets for several reasons: It is stronger. Grommets sometimes fall out because the material is thick, and if the panel is taken on and off a few times or folded, the grommets get loose and come off. It is visually more appealing. With the strip, you do not see anything from the face side. You see a continuous blanket on the wall. With grommets, you would see the holes and nails or hooks sticking out, which is probably not what you want to see in a finished product. It provides better support and easier installation. With the grommets, if you installed a hook a little off center and it does not match the grommet hole, you might not be able to fit the grommet. The strip loops are more flexible. Yes, you still have to match the location, but the loop design is more forgiving. Also, because the strip is attached along the whole width of the panel, it supports it evenly.
